I know this is my first post but I am tired of being cold in my car!!!!
I have owned three G body regals over the past 20 years and now i have found a forum that I can give help and find help.
Ok now to my problem. My heater/Ac blower motor stopped working. I replaced the switch and the blower itsself with used ones with a warrenty. But still not working. I did a search on here about it and it was mentioned that a relay maybe in involved. Can anyone point me in the right direction on finding that relay on my car? FYI its an 81 Buick with the 231 motor.
Thanks Shane

help will be here soon for ya. I haven't yet had to do anything with mine, but i know some of the newer GM's also use a resister that commonly goes out. I just had to replace one on a 95 Chev truck. Anyone?

Thanks i sure hope so. I forgot to mention its an 81 with the 231 buick motor.I have a haynes manual for it but it don't say much about the blower motor.

Ill Try to give you some ideas, dont know if will help:Under the hood on the back passagers side by the blow motor mine had a resistor of some sort in the heater box towards the motor about 2"x1" (mounts flush in the housing)with 2 bolts either 9/32 or 1/4,try that.2)Check the ground on the blower itselt i believe it bolts to the housing itself that could be bad.3)Try the fuse it may sound dumb, but always overlooked. There isn't much to the system.last i would go back to the switch personally i've seen 1 of 5 work over time, hope this helps!

so if G's have resisters too I'd put my money on that. I had a guy at the local Chev dealership tell me they go out all the time and the pickup I put it in had all the same symptoms as yours, and I too tried the motor and switch. Right through the dealership it only cost about 20 bucks.

dont keep guessing, grab a wiring diagram (your haynes SHOULD have one) and a multimeter and get to testing components
