I am pretty sure that this question has already been answered on this site but I could not find the information that I am seeking. I am ready to lower the body onto the frame of my 78 Regal but I forgot to take note of which type of bushing goes where before I removed the old ones. I have a picture of the 3 types of bushings in the kit. The bushing kit is from Original Parts Group and has 12 bushings. My frame has 14 positions for body bushings. Can someone tell me which positions the different types of bushings go from the picture of the new bushings? Also which bushings am I missing? Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing the upper diagram would be for the 'truck' g body

You may be missing the rad supp bushings and the, sometimes optional, number 5 position.

The bushings on the right side of the pic go in position #5

Those are "GNX" bushings.

Originally Buick did not install a lower bushing/cushion in positions 3 and 4. Based on our experience, some Turbo Regals did not get a lower bushing/cushion in #7. Instead Buick simply used a flat washer which pressed against the insert from the top bushing/cushion. This left a gap of about 1/2 inch in those locations. In some cases, the body bolt may have even fallen out!

body bolts come in different lengths....you have a really nice Buick

Position 1 uses GM P/N 10049638 (sold ea., 2 needed). Bolt is 12 X 1.75 X 95mm long.
95mm is not common so you have to use 100mm. Also need two nuts.

Position 3 uses GM P/N 14085301 (sold by pkgs. of 5, 2 needed). Bolt is 10 X 1.5 X 55mm long.

Position 2, 4, 6, 7 uses GM P/N 3524497 (sold by pkgs. of 5, 8 needed). Bolts are 10 X 1.5 X 80mm long.

Position #1 (radiator support) was sometimes M10, and you can use M10 or M12 there. It's up to you because that's where the two nuts go that for some reason are often erroneously mentioned for position #3. How could #3 possibly have nuts? It bolts into the underbody, like every other position except #1!

fixed the nuts...I wouldn't use M10, the bolt would be too sloppy in the bushing sleeve
