Hmm I didnt know that. Well the last time it leaked was in the winter. IIRC it leaked all the coolant out and overheated. I think this was at the same time we were having problems with the heater core leaking too. My mom took it into a shop, they filled the cooling system and it hasn't leaked since. The only problem were having now is with the catalytic converter. The catalysts are all broken up inside and it rattles like no other. We don't have emissions testing in Michigan so I'm thinking of just cutting it out and welding in a straight pipe. So does anyone else have any videos of their blazers in mud?

Oh yeah that's one I forgot about... The fuel pump died in that one too.

if you gut the cat it will throw a code. so to fix it go get yourself a couple of spark plug anti fowlers. (19mm i think) and drill one out with a 1/2" bit so the oxygen sensor fits once threaded in. then thread it in to the other one and then into the pipe. itl sense the heat but not smell so no code. to gut it simply unbolt it and jam a screw driver up in the cat a few times then blow it out by revving up the motor. bolt it up and go. problem solved

Damn mebe you got that down to the science! That actually sounds like a good idea though. It's better than spilling $150+ for a new cat. Do you have any pics of how to do this? But yeah ever since the rattling started my mom has told me the car seems like it's got a bit more power now, so why dump money on something you don't need that just decreases power? Makes no sense to me lol, then again I'm just a highschool dumbass. JK...

Nice! Love my swampers, I have the 34 10.50's ltb's, absolute animals offroad  lol.

not exactly the same but you get the idea. ill get you pics off my truck later

http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-how-re ... r-how.html

BTW: i didnt drill all the way through the one cuz i figured it would do a better job. BTW i had to do this trick because i cut off the precat and flared the y out and run 3" off of it into a 3" highflow magniflow cat out 3" into a stainless 3" original fm40 series and out 2 2.5" tailpipes turned down snug to the bumper. the only reason i kept a cat is cuzz it gets a bit raspy without one. BTW i ran dumps for a week till i could get it back in for tailpipes.a nd holy hell was it loud. i wouldnt recomend it.

and yeah when you been driving one since it was new you learn lots of tricks real quick. i can also tell you how to modify the lights where you can have full control of them and not the computer. my truck has facotry fogs and i run hid in my low, high and fog. i can run fogs seperate now or with low and high and can run high with low or all of them at the same time. talk about daylight. takes some work but it sure is worth it.

Yeah I've noticed that about the headlights there either on or off and the only thing you can control are the hibeams. I dunno how it works but I don't mind it. Anyway thanks for that writeup on the cat. I think when I pull it off I'm just gonna cut it open and put in about a foot long section of 2.5in pipe, then weld it back together so it'll pass state inspection. Oh yeah will they fail the car if they see the modded o2 sensor? Also how much up gain do u think were looking at here? I heard it can be anywhere from 5-20, so either way thats atleast 200hp which'll be better than the stock 190, and that's quite alot of power for a v6 of that year. The sad thing though is that's more power than a 305 HO.
