if you do get a new master open the box before you leave the store to make sure the kit to bench bleed the master is in the box.
It was ordered on amazon. I just use some old brake line fittings and a couple pieces of clear tube

Alright, the new master cylinder is in and everything's hooked up. However, I have run into another problem, and that problem is finding a tool that properly fits the bleeder screw on the back of the wheel cylinder for the rear drum brakes. I can't seem to find a ratchet socket deep and small enough, and my 10mm wrench won't fit either.
My question is, what is the optimal tool to use on this bleeder screw? I don't have a lift or anything so I'm doing this blindly with my head in wheel well.
Some suggestions would be great, Thanks

Thanks, I scrounged up a 5/16 and it works great. Thanks again

Nope. We're pretty sure it's the booster now. Master cylinder has been replaced, and the entire system has been bled, bled, and bled again and the symptoms are the same. Upon hitting the brake pedal, the engine still dies. With the booster disconnected and the vacuum lines plugged, the engine stays running and the pedal feels normal. So, now we're probably looking at a new booster as well

I kinda have the same problem although mine isn't as bad as yours. As you have done I've bleed the crap out of the brakes and they are rock hard till running. I've got a new booster to put on mine and will do so when I get it out of storage. A new master cyl was next but it didn't help you, so I'll watching your post.

Now I need some help. I can't get to the top two 15mm bolts that are holding the booster in. Do y'all know any tricks to getting these out? I really need some help with this. Short ratchets and swivel sockets are of no help at all, I swear it's impossible without removing the whole dash. Some more help would be greatly appreciated.

I have always used a deep well socket, a universal swivel and a long enough extension to get away from the pedals and dash. Good luck, under dash stuff is always fun (NOT!)
