So I'm figuring out my backspace for my wheels. While I was working I mocked up the front C5 brakes and rotors. The bracket on the caliper is pretty close to the wheel. I can fit a .030 feeler gauge in between the wheel back and the bracket. Is that too close?

As you can see by the stud, I would rather not use a spacer and loose 1/4 of thread.

I think that's too close. A quick look at Baer's template for caliper to wheel clearance indicates a minimum of of 0.100in clearance for their brakes, and likely applicable to your setting. Ref: http://www.baer.com/templates/N085P.pdf

So perhaps a very thin spacer is in order?

1/4 spacer and new studs

If you are using the Blazer hubs Dorman # 610-323 they are from an H3,

I suppose if the wheel is not making contact with the caliper, how will it make contact? You could always put in a 1/8" spacer if it makes you feel more comfortable.
