Where exactly is the caliper leaking? I have not done the upgrade yet but I have sold a bunch of sets. I always grab the blazer line brackets which mount the line connection vertically . I always figured guys were using the brackets . I'm not sure but mounted horizontally maybe the line is getting pulled on when you turn.. I'm sure someone will chime in...timo22
It's leaking at the bolt. I'll let you know if you can stop sending the line brackets. The passenger side is perfect. No leaks on that side. All El Camino factory brake lines.

I have a subscription to alldata. That's where I got the spec from. My dad was with me when I put together the first side and he was cringing and sure I was going to twist off the bolt or strip the casting. 40 ft. lbs. seems insanely tight in aluminum to me but it took it. Both of mine are at 40.

Torque ranch huh? Only in Texas.

Go get the copper washers, I have heard complaints about the aluminum ones leaking.

Continuing my armchair diagnosis...I also recall some hose ends have an offset. If put on 'backwards' a feature in the brass may be catching on a feature on the caliper. Doe the driver side look like the passenger side - twist in the hose, offset, etc.?
