Sorry to hear about your brother's passing, Ed. My deepest condolences to you and your family. It's never easy losing a family member.
Guess the only positive thing I can think of here with this outcome is that at least this didn't drag on for longer, which can be hard on the living as well. At least he's at peace now & not suffering anymore.

Yes. That is the silver lining to this cloud. This could have drained my brother’s estate of most of its assets, and left the rest of the family trying to figure out how to pay for his long-term care. I am still mourning, and the grief hits at unexpected times. Just didn’t expect him to be gone this soon.
continuing to pray for you and your family. you always think that all your loved ones will be around, and when something like this happens quickly, you're left wondering what happened.take time to reflect on the happier of memories when you hit the hard moments. stay strong, and like others have said, cherish the family you still have, and haven't seen in awhile.
