Brougham options

Merry Christmas all! I just purchased a 1986 Olds Cutlass Brougham on an auction. I always thought the Brougham was a higher trim level with more options. This one is A/C delete with manual windows. The dash controls only have heat and vent, and the firewall shows no signs of ever having a condenser. Anyone ever see this before? Is it worth restoring or should I look for a better project car?
Thanks!

A/C (C60) was optional on all Cutlass body styles. Some packages "required" the C60 option to be added, like W40 (Hurst/Olds) and early W42 (442)- later it became a part of the 442 package, but generally speaking, it was an extra cost option like most other things."Flow-thru" ventilation came standard.

The Brougham came with everything the Supreme did, except a few extras were tossed in- Brougham emblems, wide belt moldings and lower wide moldings, split bench seat with the cushy padded seat covers, and convenience group with visor vanity mirror, underdash lamps and trunk/underhood lamps, and chime tones.

Seems rather cheesy IMO, someone doling out the cash for a Brougham option, yet not taking the C60 A/C. Hmmm. Most people springing for the more upscale car got the A/C. Of course if they lived in Canada or upper Maine or something, maybe they felt they'd never need A/C??? Why spend a butt ton of money on it? Who knows.

Worth restoring? That could mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. If it's a V8 it might be. If you're starting with a solid, clean and straight example. Or is it a rusted out hulk? Nah, fix it to where you can drive it without your feet falling through the floor and go from there. That's a hint that you should take some pics and post. We love pictures.

Concur with above. I have an 86 as well. Originally not a big fan of sedans but have several now.

Thanks for the info! Here are some pics.
It looks decent on the surface, but has some rust underneath and the rear bumper mounts are rusted out (SD car).
I wasn't looking for a frame off restoration project. It runs and drives, but the bumper rattles because it is held on by bailing wire.
It has the 307 Olds engine and a good complete interior.

Another rust area you usually won't see until it's too late is under that vinyl top.

Looks worth fixing up to me,.especially in that area of the country.

If I were ordering one of the cars new and didn't care about a/c the cushier seats would've been the first option I picked, followed by non-tilt, non-cruise, non-pw, non-pdl, and add rear defog. I would've taken the buick v6 though, and a 3.08 Ltd slip.

Then again, that's how 2 of my 1983s were optioned out, so, I've got a type.
