well if it wasn't for the enjoyment of driving my cutlass, the 4 hour round trip was a waste. power seat track wouldn't move forward or backward, and when it moved up or down, it was like the left rear adjuster was inop. seat track was so rusted i had trouble finding the left front nut. seat material was thread bare, seat controls were broken and the hinge covers were missing. i passed.
i thought of buying the floor shift tilt column, but he wanted $100 for that, blinker wiring broken, turn signal arm broken, ign cylinder looked like an air hammer was used on it and the upper bowl was damaged from said air hammer. i passed.
he tried to sell me the factory gauges, but when i heard he turned down a $200 offer for them i passed again.
i wished him luck with his sale and got back to enjoying my car.

Open to other bucket options? I scored a sweet set of Bonneville buckets for $150. They look and feel way more comfy than G-Body buckets. Not for sale, just suggesting keeping your mind open to other opportunities.

Should have made him pay for your gas

Gbody bucket seats can be SKY HIGH. Not many around in my area .

You've got that right. Over the years I've hoarded blue bucket seats from 86' - 87' 442's and Salons and purchased several yards of NOS seat fabric. After reconditioning the seat tracks to new condition and replacing seat covers they are flawless and I wouldn't sell a set for less than $800. Some of the correct fabrics are not available anymore. Junk sets I have sold To gbodyparts.com for $300 but looking back I probably wouldn't do it again

he wouldn't understand. besides, like i said, it was a nice excuse to stretch the legs of my brown calais. i just got it out of storage a week ago.

thanks for the suggestion. i have corvette buckets in my brown calais. i was mainly looking for the power seat track to go under the factory buckets in my red calais that my petit wife drives. while she is not complaining, i was just trying to make it easier to drive.

So do you need the seats to go farther forward?
