Maybe RegalBegal is doing the GSX theme that STLRegal mentioned. I see the GS emblem. I like it, engine is clean. Wow, you kept A/C. I've had such bad luck with a/c on race cars that I said not this time.
Thanks cheap-n-nasty. I couldn't find a hood that I liked so I made that one from a stock flat hood, moved the bracing out of the way and welded in a universal cowl hump. There's a steel cowl hood out now, but the raised part goes all of the way to the front, which I didn't want for this project. I was trying to pay tribute to the little hump on the GN that says 3.8 SFI so mine says 455 and is a bigger hump that actually draws air. Not that I can keep up with a built turbo 6 car but I'm working on it.
As for the wheel wells, I've seen two G bodies burn to the ground because of a small fire that got those plastic wells going. So yes those are 20 ga steel and weigh 2 more lbs but it's worth it. They made the doghouse far more rigid as a bonus and they are smooth without all of those mounting bosses except for the two white tanks.
Same for the heater box. It's an A/C car but now without an evaporator with the blower repositioned, and I moved the heater core back quite a bit because the engine is set back over an inch. That heater box was much harder than the wheel wells.
Good to see all of these 455 Regals and Cutlass too, any G body for that matter. I never knew.
Oh the poly bushings ride fine but they bind too much for the low rate springs that I have to use to hook on a 10.5 dot tire. High rate springs would overcome the bind, but hinder weight transfer. Project started out as pro touring, but I'm more interested in this:
