It might be worth what he's asking for parts. What engine? 3.8? I personally would pass. Too much work.

I would have to totally agree that it wouldn't be worth the work/cost to restore it. There are a lot of '78-'80 specific parts that are impossible to find in excellent-or-better condition for restoration purposes. And if you do find them, they're EXPENSIVE. But I'm such a sucker for the '78-'79 Regal, and an even bigger sucker for ones with white interiors....

I wonder what engine would have been in that car originally? Would it have been a 305 Chev? As far as I know, GM wasn't installing manual transmissions behind the early carbed Buick turbo V6. I have heard of manual transmissions being available behind the N/A Buick V6. I think there was a post on this site a year or so ago about a member who had found a Pontiac Lemans that had a Buick V6 that had a 4 speed manual transmission. This is a cool car. Too bad its not in better shape, and its being parted out.

Eh, it's be a cool car if it was painted black and had a nice rumbly 350 Buick in there and a 3.42 or higher gear.

That car is pretty beat. BUT- that factory 4 speed is a Saginaw, worth around a hundred bucks. Hopefully it has the 3:50 first gear. And then the Z-bar, pedals, linkage, bell housing, clutch, shifter, boot, bezel, floor hump section, that will fit in ANY G-BODY? Priceless!!! (The Pontiac 301 was available with a manual trans in '79, and Buicks used 301's a lot)

Yeah I think the car would require to much work. How much should I offer for the clutch pedel -z-bar - and what ever else I need to put in my el camino.

Maybe $500? What engine is in your El Camino? If his car has a BOP bellhousing it won't work with a Chevrolet engine.
