guys, need to replace on on my 78 Monte. Anyone know where to buy the exact ones we use? What size are they? Since I'm doing a frame off, thinking of replacing all of them vs waiting for disaster on reassembly-thoughts on that? Thanks, oh, where have you bought them?

I also made my own using 1/4" steel plate squares with a hole in the center then I welded a grade 8 nut to that.
I also used grade 8 bolts with a standard thread that was one size larger than the metric bolts that were in there.

565, did you use the bolts that are sold by sources like gbodyparts and then match a nut to them? Did you guys build some floating cage to have some leeway or did you rely on getting it perfect? Can't believe they're not reproduced!? Also, I guess I can drill some access holes from top, get the bushings/bolts screwed down, then weld the access "flap" shut or use some rubber plugs for those holes? Am I on right track here?

When I did mine I plasma cut access holes which I guess could have been called a flaps, I cut out all the factory cage nut junk and then bought the grade 8 bolts based on the length and diameter I needed.
After I made all of my body mount nuts I installed all of my body mounts and then installed all of the bolts hand tight and then made sure the body was square and then put a tack on each nut.
After that I tightened all the bolts and fully welded the plates in place and closed the flaps and welded those shut.
Next for me was installing the roll bar.
