Thanks that what i needed to know

Crane cam duration 222/222 lift 447/447

What's the lobe seperation on that one :?:

That is probably going to be a decent choice, about as much of a cam that a 305ci with factory heads can handle

You will not want to go lower than 110LC  You could start running into vacuum brake issues

I am looking Elgin cam ...

Adv. Duration
290/290
Dur. @ 050"
223/223
Lift
.447/.477
Lobe Seperation
114LC

Ok thanks don't need those problems

83, you really need to talk to an actual builder and/or cam expert. You'll then need to know basic info like stall, gears, CR, goals etc.

And I agree with the others the Thumper cam is a terrible choice, in fact that whole line of cams is the definition of 'wannabe' if you ask me. A cam that makes you sound mean but actually makes you go slower than if using a milder cam? Save that crap for the ricers!

I put a .480 lift crane in a stock autozone reman. Never pulled the heads, changed springs, anything. Runs like hell for a 305 with bolt ons. Hookers, holley 600, Edelbrock EPS intake, roller chain with lock plate.
