Call a cam company or request a recommendation by email. Tell them everything, compression, stall, rear gear, use, etc, they will ask it all anyway. Durtaion and LSA play a huge role in how your car will act. Don't guess on it just call the pros and get the professional answer. Good luck.

Ok thanks. Is there a way to find out what your heads flow and all that? I dont know how much these new heads i got are ported. I just know they are intake ported and have all new magnum roller rockers and springs.

your best bet is to take them to your local machine shop and have them compression tested, unless you can call the manufacturer of the heads you bought and ask them to tell you what cc's they are.

Ok they are stock c heads that ported out.

also consider if you know the year of heads they are, you can likely get a cc number for them off of google, heads typically have a cc rating unless otherwise modified from stock numbers, if yours are stock then the cc rating should be close within one cc of the manufacturers number.

Well in order to see what flow they are you need a flow bench. You would have to take them to a head porter and have them flowed. Then you could compare the improvement of the porting with a stock set of c heads. I am sure somebody out there in internet land has stock flow numbers for a comparison. You will only know your flow number by having them on a flow bench though. CC'ing the chambers is also a good idea if you want to know true compression. You will know if anybody has surfaced the heads for any reason. The same guy who flows your heads can do that for you. If you decide to throw it together without having them flowed thats cool too. Just let the cam company know that they have been ported.

I dont see a link? I just hope they are better than the ported j heads that I have right now. Im ready to have my beast back and roaring. Ill call around to the machine shops tomorrow and see what I can find out.

My machine shop said if over a 500 lift cam on an olds engine, roller rockers are a good idea. I ended up goin with a tad milder cam because of that on mine.
