Can anyone definitively say that the front lower control arms from an S10 will work on a 78-88 A/G body?;

I would rather buy my own ball joints so I can get the brand I want, not some cheap ones that are just to make people think they are getting a deal

The moog arms come with the moog problem solver ball joints and bushings installed

I was planning on buying the Moog arms. I just got the Moog uppers and they are made is the USA. I was hoping that the lowers would be as well.

Depending on what series you get....

The CK/K series aka 'Problem Solver series' is Moog built, top of the line, & limited lifetime warranty. The RK/R series is a lower cost 'alternative' that Moog approves, is not serviceable/rebuildable (where applicable), & only has a 3yr warranty.

Just tossing this out there (& don't know if it would work) but if the lowers are the same for S trucks & our cars other than the bolt size couldn't the bushing be pressed out to be replaced by one for our cars?

From what I have found....
The US made Moog lower control arms with the Problem Solver bushings and ball joint have been discontinued. These have a "CK" prefix. Same prefix is used for the uppers as well. I was able to track down a right side. It just showed up today. Yes, it shows made in the USA but the bushings were dry rotted already! No biggie as I have to install the A/G body sized bushings anyways.
The left side that was supposed to be a CK turned out to be an "R" series which is Moog's general replacement line. This one is made in Taiwan. The arm, bushings and ball joints look good but are not the Problem Solver ball joint.

I have just been through this with Rock Auto, Ebay and other outlets.
The only Moog Problem solver lower still available is the right side which is part# CK620251
The left side part # was CK620252. No one in the US has one. The only one on Ebay is in Mexico and they want $80 to ship it.
The R series are still available under part #s RK620252 for the left side and RK620251

For the uppers.
The Problem solver arms are also getting harder to find. I found a left one which is part #CK620250 on Rock Auto.
The right side took some work. I found one on Ebay from California and snapped it up. It still has not arrived. That part # is CK620249
