Can Anyone Help Me Positively Identify This G Body Chassis??

My original frame on my '81 was on the rear cross member above the rear end. It was built at the Leeds (K.C., Mo) plant.
That's where mine was built so it should be in the same area. Thanks
 
Agreed, only real issue would be if it had '78 spindles on it, as far as buying components to rebuild all suspension/steering.
What's different about the '78 spindles vs the later ones?

Top of the frame under the pass door, normally.

I'm in the process of doing a frame off on mine and he's correct, the vin is there. If the frame is rusty you may not be able to make any of it out though.
 
I worked on about 4 or 5 frames and never saw a vin so I thought it was just a myth. I wonder if they put the vin on all the frames since it must have been done during the assembly of the cars.
