they're actually a lot of VERY fast cars use torbo v6's.

that $5k, is that complete build price? that's about what my 383 cost. so if you get 400hp it works out the same.

I am not trying to discourage you, if it is what you want go for it. Just trying to offer some alternatives that may be cheaper.

also, i found this out the hard way, lol. if you have figured up a amount that you are planning to spend, add at least 25% to that and that will be what it costs. there is always going to be odds and ends that can end up costing alot. for example you are doing a gn style engine which is going to be efi, i am curious, did you figure out the cost of a baffeled fuel tank, electric fuel pump, harness/realy kit?... i am doing efi in both of my g bodies and did not figure that into my original budget, that adds a whole bunch to it!

Not to mention hoses, wiring harness, replacement for bad used parts you will inevitably get, complete exhaust system, fuel lines from the tank to the front, radiator, electric fans, fan shroud, heat shields, hydroboost, A/C hoses and lines, etc. My 350 swap cost me close to $5,000 10 years ago when I factored in all of my costs and I didn't even have it all functional yet-just driveable.

That is a smokin' deal! I wish I had the money saved for that!

It's a great start to a project for sure!

No actually I never thought about the rest of that stuff. Guess I'll have to get more parts huh? One of my friends mentioned changing somethin' in the gas tank for EFI. I'll figure it out. I just needed to know if this was possible. Probably gonna take me 5 years to get started seeing as how I have a slave wage (8.50 an hour) job.

oh yeah AC isn't a factor for me. I took the belt off the day I got my Cutty

You're tougher than I am, kid...

I can't imagine life without A/C in Florida. Here you need: freezing A/C, dark window tint, and a kick *ss stereo to make a car drivable on a day to day basis.
