Yeah, but the 4.3 TBI V6 is a whole different ball game than the carb'd 3.8...

Maybe, but I've seen the 4.3 run fastest in carbed form.

The 3.8 has graced some formidable cars...but this depends on which 3.8 we are talking about. The G-body years these engines weren't good for much.

P.s. the 4.3 TBI is a dog, the later multi-point -after '96- are the ones to get. In stock form they can be massaged to around 280+ tq with bolt-ons. Don't ask about hp numbers 😳

Custom442, how are the street racing laws in your area? I'm pretty sure where I am, near Toronto, cars get impounded when they're caught street racing. Stunt driving could get you a nice fine too...

my 3.8 will probably kill almost every honda it will ever see on the street or strip.

Im going for 9's next season.

Just out of curiosity gasmachine, what trans and rear do you run? As I mentioned above the GN formula is the best to emulate when you want to pick up speed.

GNs had the 2004r trans, what about the rear gear ratio? 3.23- 3.42? Something like that? And don't forget the better exhaust...

As I said, this formula works with ALL G body cars. The only thing left is power under the hood! Even a non-turbo V6 Buick car can get to the 13 second quarter mile times. To do better than that it will cost big bucks with tons of upgrades. That's okay, though, because most ricers don't run 13's; most cars on the road don't either, regardless of make.
