Love these odd ball equipped vehicles, I own a 1978 buick Century WAGON with automatic on the floor and bucket seats, go figure...maybe the original purchaser who ordered this car was going through a midlife crisis that had a large family LOL!!

Now that's a cool car. Why haven't we seen it before? 👍👍

More door, 5 speed, a little claim of a show winner. Very different. Maybe the original owner was a bit older & was more accustomed to a standard than an slush box. Years back I did see a more door Century with 3 speed that someone bought for the stick & junked everything else.

Car has been for sale for quite some time. He wanted $8500 for it the last time I saw it. It sure is clean, and good colors, too.

Don't forget the oil crises in the 70s. Overdrive made a difference. That stick made it unique and not so appealing to the regular sedan crowd.

What's up with yet another clean survivor with RED INTERIOR? Oh, another reason it may have escaped being modded.

My '78 Buttless was optioned exactly the same. Same interior color. 260 with the T-50. Rallye gauges. That interior shot looks exactly like my old car...

I know a lot of people look at some of these original survivors and are in sticker shock, including my self at times, and then i do some hard thinking on what it cost nowadays for a good paint job, rechroming, reupholstery....ok so you choose NOT to purchase this but a beat up one needing restoration. #1, chances are its not going to have these rare options, #2 its going to run you on average $2k for the car....add a new paint job $4000, new upholstery (seats only) good luck trying to find the trim pieces for your ride that have turned to powder $2500. Your now ALREADY at $8500 and more to go!!! And TIME!!! The ones who grobble at the price make me chuckle, your time isn't worth anything???? Look at the hours, weeks, months, YEARS it may take you to get it to this condition!! I don't know about anyone else, but this price for a turn key show car that has some pretty cool rare options, is VERY appealing to me after I came to my rational senses.
