Car dies when I use electrical equipment

Found out what was wrong. Figured I'd give an update in case this problem occurs with anyone else.

The positive wire from the battery to the starter had a bad connection. Disconnected the wire, scrubbed it down with a wire brush and knife, and cleaned up the bolt that held it on. Put it on tight too. Runs like a champ now, no skipping or dying in the middle of running.

this is why you don't take your car to Advanced Auto to have it checked out. I'd be going back there to ask for my old alternator and get a refund on the chinese one they sold you

I have a feeling they won't refund me lol. For all I know they could have refurbished it (cuz I bright it back for the core charge) and sold it already anyways. They said the old alternator was junk, but I assume they only said that so they could get me to spend $90 on a new one. Learned my lesson I guess

You might want to clean up all the connections and grounds on your car...just to prevent future issues

I think I will, thanks
