After about an hour worth of driving in the city/highway, the car temp never got above 160....now I can drive without turning the heat on to keep the car temp down.

I still say open. We knew it was dual plane, it allows side to side sharing. Do you still have the 600 cfm carb?
Before order a 1/2" open phenolic spacer. Will I need to adjust the tv cable due to the higher carb position? I would assume no....but figured I would ask

You shouldn't have to but it only takes a second with a stock style cable.

Maybe I'm better off just replacing gaskets and putting it back together..unless really worth changing out

That looks the same as the one on my 70S, it moves a lot of air.
You have belt squealing after putting that fan on? Squeals when i put the pedal down...thinking the fan is heavier and harder to move.. Belts are less than a year old and are tight

Only after these Napa/Gates belts stretch and need retighened, usually have do it 3 or 4 times . Make sure your accessories have the belts straight and they are truly tight enough.

Just to piggy back on this because I had the same solid fan suggestion because I’m running 220 degrees and I need a phenolic spacer and am running a 7111 dual plane intake is everyone saying performance wise rather than isolating the dual planes via a 4 hole spacer or a spacer with a divider in the center its better for a dual plane to run an open spacer on the intake?

Thanks for the help

So I bought new belts, cleaned pulleys and they look straight. Belts still squeal for a second on start up and when I accelerate fast. Been debating on getting a new fan or even going electric. I think this one is heavier and the belts are having an issue gripping at all times. I heard there's an electric fan setup from an intrepid that's a direct swap? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
