Register them out of State. Live in a PO box.

Vehicle registration requires a street address. So does change of address. P.O. Box won't do. The only way you'll get away with registering out of state, or in a county with no smog, is if you actually have a physical residence there. And good luck trying to trick them.

Check this one out. In Utah (of all places), starting just this year, in certain counties including the Salt Lake City area, a new rule just went into effect. Anything from 1968 through 2012 (!!!) now must have smogcheck every year, forever. Not just every other year, but every year.

Wow. That's even WORSE than California! At least they leave you alone if its '75 or earlier.
