Neither. Go buy a 200 dollar edelbrock 600. You will need a spacer/adapter and a couple gaskets. If the carb is your problem that will fix it and you will never have to touch it again for a long time. I think rebuilding a quadrajet would be beyond your ability. No offense intended. Buying a new quadrajet would be too expensive. As far as your fuel pump, follow the fuel line from the carb and see where it goes. If it goes into a pump hanging off the passengers side of your engine block then you have a mechanical. Which I am sure you probably do.

There is a fellow member on here "LIMEY" who is going to sell me a edelbrock for 100 and I am just going to get that.
I totally understand and none taking, I know for a fact I would cause more problems taking them little pieces all off and trying to get the on point and correct.
I would never even try.
But since you out it that way I do have a mechanical Because I have the line coming all the way down and back up the the fuel pump which is kinda under the engine but on the side.
So i don't have to worry about that?
