Hi I have a Holley 600 on my el camino and on the way home from work it broke down and I ended up figuring out that there is gas overflowing out of the carb then when the engine dies the gas runs back out of the carb I watch it drain back out where my fuel filter is. I know it's probably a stuck float how do I fix this and the carb is only about 8 months old as well.

Take off your fuel line from the carb and plug the line. Start the car and run it till the carb runs out of gas and then put your fuel line back on. Alot of time that will clear whatever is stopping the needle from seating

With ethanol in the gas these days, if any part of your fuel line is (Old) rubber, the inside of the rubber can separate and not only get stuck in the fuel bowl (N&S), but the rubber can clog the inlet carb nut (600 Holley).
That happened to me last year. If I went over 50mph, the car would bog down to 20mph and then pick up speed. I finally found that the 1/2 inch piece of gas line would lift enough on high rpm and clog the hole going into the carb.... sh*t happens!
