I know me myself I've been building this car for the last 3 years. And now 3 motors, 3 trannys, 2 interior changes, 2 suspension changes and lot of other changes later, I'm almost done but I'm still changing stuff here and there. Any one else feeling like they've built 2-3 cars out of all the work you've done on just 1?

I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MINE SINCE FEBRUARY AND I FEEL I'M GETTING CLOSE TO THE END. I HAVEN'T HAD MAJOR CHANGES LIKE ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS. I'M PRETTY WELL SET ON THE DRIVE TRAIN. I HAVE HAD TO MAKE A FEW CHANGES DUE TO PARTS AVAILABILITY. IT SEEMS LIKE ALOT OF WHAT I WANT IS BACKORDERED. I DOWN TO WIRING AND FUEL DELIVERY. I'VE HAD A WALBRO PUMP ON ORDER FOR 6 WEEKS THAT IS BACKORDERED. THE BEST PART IS MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED A MONTH AGO BUT STILL NO PUMP. I SURE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR THIS THING RUN BEFORE THE SNOW FLIES.

When you get to building a car for 8 years, come talk to me.

I started tinkering with my Regal when it was my daily driver in my late teenage years. Had it for almost 10 years now. I used to think stereos were the most important part of the car. Now that's probably the last thing I'm worried about. I've done & redone almost everything on the car more than once. Now I'm starting on an 85 442. I wanna do this one hardcore, so I'm thinking this will be another 10 year project. Especially given my current time constraints.

My project has had a few changes... I was just supposed to change the oil when i got it, almost 3 years later its now a frame off rotisserie build LOL. Some plans were altered due to parts, I always wanted white letter tires on 70 spoke daytons.. got a killer deal on some 13" c5 brakes and now i need a 17" rim to clear, bye bye white letter tires and i dont even want to think about dayton's price for 17" rims.

I’ve been doing my 37 Dodge pickup for 10years LOL, actually though in fairness after I got the first mockup done I set it aside for several years and did some other projects, I just got back on it recently.

I usually have the cars pretty well planned out before I start on them and usually stick pretty well to the plan.

The Dodge has been a bit of an exception. It was initially going to be a street rod with things like cruise, AC, power windows etc. Somewhere along the way the plan changed to built it as an all out hotrod and put the money into the drivetrain (screw streetability and creature comforts). I’m currently redoing the mockup.

on year 6 with my regal. need to go for a drive bad. enine is out for the second time and has gone 2 diff directions in this one pull.

Have been building an S10 blazer for almost 13 years, not for lack of ability but funds. In 13 years have only gotten the motor and trans sitting in the truck nothing else. About to rob the motor and trans for my regal, but that's another can of worms.

Picked up my 68 camaro 8 years ago it's still not finished because I've changed my mine and direction waaaaay to many times. Luckily I haven't purchased too many parts that I can't use. The plan now is to just get it running so that I can enjoy it. I'll update and modify certain areas/parts later.
