Haven't been dealing with cars for as many years as sum but im already experiencing sum of these symtpoms.

I started my first project car 10 years ago, 71 Mustang. Came with 302/C4 combo. Pulled engine and rebuilt and started stocking up on parts, was just gonna make a nice cruiser at first. Project died within a year due to kids, then school, then kids again, then time and money. Got back to it about 3 years ago mocking everything up and sending the C4 out for rebuild since it sat for about 7 years in in-laws garage. That time I was thinkin just gettin it running and build as I go, then project died again. Sold motor and trans last week 🙁 . In process of selling off other parts that I have lying around trying to recover some $ and hopefully use towards the GP and givin rest to a buddy so he can use, saddly the body will probably see the crusher.

I'm going on my 3rd year my self. Do to another vehicle purchase, I decided to take my Malibu project in a nother direction half a year ago. After giving it much thought, and being realistic about it. I decided to just stick with the original plan, then do the changes later. So I'm back at it again, and given my self till next spring to get the old girl going

Well i got my 78 Monte back when i was 16 and i haven't stopped working on it yet, so there is 16 years for me.
I'm on engine number 4, transmission 2 and so on an on and on.......
Funny thing never had to change the rear axle though, thankfully back when i was a kid, my parents got the recall letter from GM for the rear axle and it got replaced and no charge with an 8.5 axle instead of the craptastic 7.5 one
