Changing axles

Can I pull the 26 spline axles out of my 83 el camino and put 28 spline axles in it and put a 7.5 posi unit in the case

Yeah as long as you use GN or 442 8.5 28 spline axles along with a 28 spline posi unit from a newer f body or any other 7.5 or 7.625 posi donor. I got a Zexel Torsen limited slip from a 02 Camaro SS that i was going to upgrade my 7.625 Monte SS rearend with..along with the the girdle and a decent rebuild kit, weld the axle tubes etc etc

Yes, But you will need a 28 spline posi to go with the 28 spline axles.
