chevy s10 8.5 rear end

hey guys am about to by a chevy s10 8.5 rear end with 342 gears for $60 can i make that rear end fit my 1982 olds or is that no go :|

no go. Remember, the S10's had leaf springs so there are no trailing arms like the G-body 4 link rear.

However you may be able to use the guts (gears and posi unit).

but mine has 7.5 with 323 so its all or nothing 26 spline not 28 or 30

Yeah. The S10 stuff would only work if you had an 8.5" in your car already.
