Chinese Junk

I was going to go with an MSD HEI for the 355, but I may try to find a better alternative.

take a look on ebay for a distributor from a ZZ4 crate engine. They have upgraded parts, an adjustable vacuum advance and a modified advance curve for performance.....and cheaper then an MSD....word of caution though, there are ZZ4 crate engines that were made in china....

REALLY??????

I can believe that. GM has been putting Chinese made engines in the Chevy Equinox for a few years now. Why not start making that most American of engines over there too?

Don't forget that a lot of auto parts are also being made in Mexico. I just bought a new Nissan Frontier and see some parts of the engine made in U.S., Canada, Mexico. It's truly a global truck.

As is my 1998 Frontier. The radiator was made in California, the engine block is stamper "Hencho en Mexico", it was assembled in Tennessee, etc. There is no such thing as a purely American made car anymore. However, this thread was dealing with Chinese made aftermarket products. Some of them are good, but the bad ones are unbelievably bad in many cases. Bad Chinese auto parts are about as good for your health as Chinese baby formula is for your baby.

your right with that but I don't feel like being their test dummy. I'm targeting the companies on this side of the ocean who outsourced their production lines to China and use their trade mark to peddle the crap on us.

I work at a sign company, and a local chinese restraunt owner (china man of course, no offense) had us build a sign for him, but then outsourced some Channel Letters for the outside of the building from china and had them shipped to our shop. to be honest I didn't even want to touch the letters and get lead poison! haha the quality of the letters was sh*t to say the least... and the L.E.D.s looked so cheap...and the man wants to brag how he spent 2 million to build his restraunt....man whatever...what ever happened to the patriotism of the American people! just because it cost American companies less money to have their products built overseas, we have to settle for less quality parts and materials here in the states, but then again, china can have all the pollution and waste created in producing the products it exports to the U.S. haha. yeah my 350 GM Crate I ordered from jegs says Hecho En Mexico, but I'm mexican American so that's ok with me 😀

What do you care, you're up in Canada? jk

Thanks for reminding me...😢

just picked up pro-coil from Moroso...made in USA...and it was not as expensive as the China made MSD....

American Made is the way to go, especially with how bad China is doing right now with all these toxic plastics and screw ups. I just don't see people wanting to pay more right now with the economy being so bad.
