They did ask about that in the application. Since mine is always garaged it wasn't an issue. However, they did flag my application since my daily driver was older than 1990. A rep called and asked me a few questions about it. Once that was cleared up they processed my policy.

I looked into a few of them, Grundy wouldn't insure me unless I did my other two cars with them. Haggerty was quite a bit more on the original qoute than anyone else and I ended going with Leeland West.
I have the agreed value and it had to get approved for the amount I wanted and because my Monte is so highly modified
I sent a bunch of pictures of exterior, interior, rear end, trunk and engine and at there request also pictures of my car in my garage and the odometer.
I also had to give a cost breakdown for all the parts and modifications which was a little time consuming going through
the different files but for the piece of mind having a set amount if it is totaled or stolen is well worth it.
And in Michigan having the authentic plate dropped my insurance about $120 a year because of the catastrophe fund we have here that daily drivers pay into.

I use this company:

I have 3 of my G Bodies covered for 15 grand each and it cost me about $650 a year for all 3. Now I live in NYC. I believe other cities and states may be alot cheaper.

Hagerty told me tey wouldnt cover my car because its a areo coupe just a standard model and told me the same with regals ,montes ,and cutlass if it wasnt a 442 areo coupe ,gn,or ss they didnt consider it a classic and dont cover them i didnt believe it so .i asked for a manager and the guy they sent me to confirmed it to wtf ,and i couldnt drive it to school,so i went through my friend whos a agent with aaa.

Not sure if you know this, so I have to say it. You must have at least have one car with a regular car insurance company. And your 2, 3 , etc. can get covered by classic car insurance. Some of those other insurance turned me away really fast. Had the same problem. But my insurance company 0 problems. They fax email or anything you eveything you need. And also the company has car show in there headquaters. I truly trust them. Good luck

I have mine insured with State Farm for an agreed value. $250 a year (Good driving record, multiple policies with them - car, home, life). I have my agreed value at $15k. No restrictions on driving, its my car, I built it, and no one will tell me when and where I can drive it.
