So, I was quoted $25 from "Steal" Farm. They promised a discount if I set up monthly draft. Instead, they tripled my premium amount. What are some of the honest insurance companies out there?

Thanks tried to get quotes from them and Hagerty. I get into the quote process and kicks me out due to "invalid" email address.

I have an independent insurance broker. I had never heard of them. I was already using my broker on the insurance on my truck when I bought my GP. He recommended C&S. I think I spend $150 a year for agreed value coverage. The agreed value being $10k. Its a great deal for them since I haven't driven the car since the fall of 2014. 🙁

Oh man that stinks, not driving your ride. Anything the matter with it?
I wish I am able to find a reasonable insurance vendor.

JC Taylor they are out of Pennsylvania

I don't mean to be that guy and hijack the thread but does anyone have any suggestions for someone with an SR22 bond? I get denied everywhere because of it.

I'm also with Condon & Skelly. They've been my provider for over 25 yrs.

I've had Hagerty for many years on various vehicles. My Cutlass runs about $200/yr with an $8K agreed value. That may even go down when I make a move to a more rural area but at this point it might be time to raise the value. Since I've never filed a claim I really can't make comment on their service. You may have to get an appraisal if you value is above a certain point but in my case all I had to do was provide photos. They do have requirements about storage, usage, and having another primary vehicle as well but I think that's typical of all collector insurers.

83MONTESS, Not sure about SR22 and collector policies. I had some experience with this years ago with my primary insurer but just "forgot" to mention it to my collector insurer. They didn't ask so I didn't volunteer. It's legalized extortion and the insurance company can charge as much as they want for as long as they want. My state only required 1 year but my insurance company required 2 because, get this, I had an SR22 on my record. They were penalizing me for being penalized. I sucked it up and kept paying. At the 2 year mark I called to get it dropped and they then told me I had to go 3 years because I had an SR22 on my record within the last 3 years. Really? At that point I started shopping for new insurance and found Progressive to be really flexible as well as affordable. In fact, they told me they would have only required the 1 year mandated by the state. Wish I would have talked to them a year and several thousand dollars sooner. Anyway, Country Mutual Insurance can get ****ed.
Not sure if my rant helps you at all but I sure feel better😀.
