I'm trying to get the windshield washer fluid and coolant reservoirs for my Malibu cleaned up. The washer fluid reservoir has that blueish stain on the inside, from years of the blue washer fluid, and the coolant reservoir has that sort of dirty brown stain in the lower corner. Anyone have any tips or tricks for cleaning these things up? Any kind of special cleaner? Bleach? Looking for some ideas here. Thanks in advance.

I used one of those brushes on a wire and some elbow grease. No metal though, nylon or horse hair.

plug the hole and use some vinegar and water to soak the spot for a few hours....and if that doesn't work I' try some oven cleaner...

Or, you can paint them...leaving an unpainted strip to see the level.Mine are weather stained, and there's no cleaner out there that will fix that staining. I'm going to try the Krylon Fusion for Plastics. I've used it on some ugly deck furniture with some incredible results. I'll post the results on my build page.

The overflow new from GM is like $28 the washer bottle was a little less...from my local dealership.

Just so you know.

I've cleaned them up with oxyclean before.

The newer gm-sold ones I've seen are functional, and mount the same way in the same place, but were of a different design than the originals...
