Re: Help with the clone questions. - and build thead

I have a factory gel coat black GN bumper. Front bumper only but its in good shape needing touch up and a new rubber strip. I am in Dayton and would sell it cheap. If you paint a front bumper they usually stone chip & or eventually fade & flake especially black. If you are interested PM me and I'll give you my cell. In fact I have an extra set of GN wheels if you are interested.

Lauren Engineering also has bumper covers & various trim pieces.. Some look dated in design but to each his own.. Take a look..

You have PM.

The other concern, what I dont understand is:

A factory GN black bumper is a steel bumper primed and painted. The T's and the Limited have chome of the same thing. Can you have a bumper stripped and primed/painted?

Re: Help with the clone questions. - and build thead

No PM

Buick had the GN steel bumper primed and painted in some type of gel coat. Its not regular paint that chips etc. Yea all the Ts and regular regals had chrome except for the 1LE or someting like that special option Ts which also had the black gel coated bumpers and blacked out trim just not the GN only interior & wheels.

You might want to try WWW.GBODYPARTS.COM I remember at one time they were refurbishing Grand National "black" bumpers.
Don't know if they still do that or not might wanna call and check... i do know they were done correctly , and they were original used bumpers, and they redid them.

Hope this helps

We still blast & powder coat original GM bumpers. We also get Chrome units re-finished. We carry fiberglass smooth & with impact strips molded in. We carry the light weight alumimun shock to mount them as well. Dennis Kirban was just down here a few weeks ago, We are the 1 stop shop 😉

I about you guys. It isnt that I dont want to do that.

It is more that I would like to have them custom painted. Rather than stock, color matching is what I think I am going to go with.
