Column Cable Shift

Even though I have full length headers on my Regal it has a column shift and I had to cut and weld the arm that crosses over my header collector and I redrilled the bracket where the pivot mounts to move it up higher. I could not even get mine out of park when I first installed the new engine with the headers.

First fix is cut and reweld the collector farther down where it wont cause issues anymore.

Second fix get rid of the mid length headers go with a flow tech style longtubes then just shave some of the rod the goes from the body to the transmission side and it will shift perfect again.

Third fix go back with exhaust manifold and your problem will go away.
