I have a 1986 Buick Regal Limited that came factory with an Oldsmobile 307 & 200-4R transmission & factory A/C. I'm motor swapping it to a modified Buick 455 from a 1976 Buick Electra. I have all the A/C components that came with 1986 Buick Regal minus the compressor. I have the 1976 Buick 455's compressor. The connections at rear of compressor seem like they'll line up. The clutch wiring plug is different but I can modify that. Does anyone know if this will work ? ? ?

My 86' Regal also came with a 307/200R4 combo and for the AC set up I bought all new components for the factory 307 set up but made brackets to make it work on my 355 SBC, the factory hoses would have worked also but I couldn't get a replacement in time so I just made my own, you could probably do something similar to convert your Olds set up to fit the Buick.

Just a quick search and it looks like one compressor has 2, 5/8 washers and the other has 1, 5/8 and 1, 3/4 inch washer

You may need a custom line to tie into the older compressor. Even the V belt and Serpentine R4 compressors are just different enough to need to swap lines, they look quite similar. Basically you need power and ground to the compressor

IMO I would just get a new replacement R4 so that you know at least the lines and electrical will be correct, besides I feel the old A6 are too bulky for a Gbody engine compartment.

May be hard to find the correct brackets for a Buick BB engine
