I wanted to do a CS II conversion on my Monte. I found a set of the lower trim panels, but my interior colour is blue, and the Buick panels were grey. I found a second set of lower trim panels that were blue that matched the Monte, so I used the Buick trim panels as a guide, and cut holes in the blue panels for the CS II speaker grills that matched the original Buick panels. I didn't find it hard to cut the holes for the speaker grills in the blue panels. I made a pattern in cardboard, using the Buick panels as a guide, then transferred that pattern to the blue panels, and cut the holes with a Dremel tool. I picked up a spray can of blue fabric dye, and dyed the CS II grills blue to match the trim panels. It turned out pretty well. The plastic speaker supports are available through G Body parts. Doing it this way has allowed me to save my original Monte lower trim panels, in case I want to return the car to original at a later date. As nearly as I've been able to determine, all of the G body 2 door lower trim panels (not sure about El Camino) are the same, except for colour, and the holes for the power door locks, CS II, lower courtesy lights, and carpeting. The different GM divisions used different upper trim panels to differentiate the various models. I have lower trim panels here from a Monte, Buick Regal, and Grand Prix, and like I've said, other than colour & options, I can't see any difference.
