Thanks again for the votes and replies. An honor for sure. Car been in the family for over 20 yrs. Bought off the back lot of a car dealer with a blown V6. Repaired the engine and was a daily driver for several yrs. V6 blew up again and it sat for awhile and one day it was in the shop and this 489 BBC was sitting next to it. Started the transformation that day. 489 iron headed 8.5 compression engine was good for high 10 sec 1/4 mile times after notching the frame. Stepped up the game with S&W back half 4 link and a 557 dart headed pump gas engine. That was good for a 9.72@135. Switched to a profiler intake and with NO other changes it went 9.36@143. Car is currently going thru another transformation with lots of fiberglass and lexan and a 7.50 cert chassis.

That's some serious fun.

The winner by a clear margin: bbcolds!! Congrats!

Congrats! You should get a 3.8 Buick V6 like my 80 G Body El Camino has. The front tires stay on the ground and you don't need cheaters to launch it. ET is less than 30 second at about 66!
