Congrats Wedonthaveit! That's two months in a row I was a runner-up. What's that saying "always a bridesmaid"! LOL Seriously......….you have a very fine example of a powerful Grand Am. And what I wouldn't give to have your running gear! Mine is a stock 185 hp 400 from a 76' Trans Am. BTW......….I'm not familiar with the #31 cylinder heads...….what kind of compression do you get from them? All the best......my friend...…...enjoy that nice ride.

It’s a cylinder head from 68. It is supposedly a Ram Air head. 72 cc chamber. That’s the info I found from the research. I had butler fully CNC the heads. The chambers are now 76 cc.

Do they still have cruise-ins at Master's parking lot? I think it was on Richmond Ave. You do sound a bit younger than me. I remember driving over the Verrazano Bridge (when it first opened) with a few friends in a '57 Pontiac convertible.
I guess you can do the math...LOL!
I also remember Stucker's Foreign junk yard. That was a long time ago. They had a great supply of foreign car parts...and they were very reasonable.

Masters was on Hylan Blvd. early 90’s was the Kmart on Richmond Ave. Neat the SI Mall
Stuckers was close from where I lived in Great Kills. They are long gone. There’s a Wendy’s there now. LOL. I’m 47. I wish I was cruising in the 57 Pontiac conv. LOL.

You're absolutely right about Master's being on Hylan Blvd. After so many years out of NY, I forget a lot...I can also attribute that to my advanced age....hahaha!
47, huh? I wish I was still 47....you could be my son. .LOL..
I know Stucker's had been closed for many years. I remember Frank Stucker and his elderly mom behind the counter. They were nice people to deal with. I also remember the A&W Rootbeer not far from Stucker's. We used to stop there for lunch after junk yarding at Stucker's.

If I recall, the Staten Island mall was where Sear's was, correct?

Yeah, I'd love to own that '57 Pontiac convertible today. You just don't see those cars anymore.

Congratulations Wedonthaveit. Oh I do like exclusive & you got it in spades. And I'm bias about sloping back windows as you & I are 2 of the 4 that were available. The only two up to 86. I always try to keep my eye open for a copy of the 1981 Daytona 500 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_Daytona_500 as the slopped back window just drove away from the rest of the cars. Even the smooth bumper had an advantage over the Malibu's Big ugly boat anchors. Ya got a great car, keep it drive able, if ya mod it TOo much ya will drive it less (FACT). Take care Ole' Bob.
