What’s your engine/trans combination, budget, intended use and HP?

Once these are answered the choices become very easy. The second one (budget) will define systems that will fit your need.

Try to think of the future. If you are going to upgrade. Get an expandable system or at least something with extra features. If you budget out, you may find the system limited on upgrades.

I am not looking for massive power here only about 400 hp / 400 ftlbs torque.

I personally think a gbody is the easiest car to do a carb efi setup or ls fuel injection. you can have a setup done in 3 hours. this is using the stock tank and sending unit placing the fuel pump in tank.

Holly has a straight up drop in whole unit, you'll pay for it tho.

400hp and street is the cheapest of all possibilities.

Get a Holley Sniper, a Walbro 255 or 450 in tank pump and appropriate filters.

Holley makes nice attaching parts, but they are well overpriced and not the best on the market. It’s how they get you - they sell you a very good EFI system and then nickel and dime you for the attaching parts.

If you want to do it cheaper, then you need to have the skill set to handle the manufacturing of the most things.

The throttle body EFI units are nothing more than a glorified carburetor to me.... but they are a tad bit cheaper if you go that route, the sequential unit like the edelbrock is better IMO.

Switching over is costly... $2200 for the edelbrock unit, $380 for the '87 MC efi tank that includes pump assembly, the need of an aftermarket in tank fuel pump, cost depends on what you find and decide to use, all new braided fuel line hoses(supply/return/vent), AN fittings, and all thats before taxes, at least this is what its going to cost me so far just to give you an idea what you're lQQking forward to as well.
