Could use some suspension guidance

Seem a good choice to go with what's tried and true, if I remember correctly from my reading you have 1/2" top and bottom, correct?

Southside Machines Stage 2 front end package you get the geometry of the C5 Corvette. No bumpsteer and point and shoot steering. They have spring and shock choices to fit you needs. New alignment specs are included. Give them a call. www.southsidemachineperformance.com

Looks like the Southside Machine ball joints are $100 a set, not each.

Hmm, I didn't realize the proforged were priced each and not for the pair. That's makes the SSM balljoints the same price and they are 1" which is what they suggest for their control arms. I think I will have to call them. Thanks for the heads up.

Proforged come with boots, SSM's do not. be sure to add these, especially on the lowers. They are about $6 each. A piece of 5/8" ID heater hose will help keep the boots in place with the tall ball joints

On the lowers, to run taller BJ's you need to modify the brake splash shield hole or the control arms will rub the shields.

I saw that about the dust boots, not sure if their ball joints are of better quality. If they are it's worth it to buy the dust boots but I can't find much info on their stuff.

I'll be using blazer spindles and brakes, will the shields still need to be modified?

I haven't been able to jump into things like I was wanting to do since plans have changed quite a bit for this car. I was originally planning on doing some suspension and brake work, then move onto the bodywork but the frame is just too far gone. I've found a parts car so now it's turned into a frame off resto, which is the better path in the long run but I was just looking forward to driving the thing for a while. Now I have to wait for the 18" or so of snow that fell last week to melt before I can move things around and get the body off the new frame so I can start sanding it down.
