Crane Cams Engine Management System (EMS) for CCC systems.

Crane Cams used to make an Engine Management System (EMS) that was used to control and tune the CCC system that came in our cars. I can only find very little info about this system on the net. Wonder if anyone here ever had such a system in their car or ever seen the Crane EMS anywhere? The only info I have on the EMS is in the scans below, it was supposed to come out in the summer of 1989.

Considering by then they were phasing out carbs and most if not all of the actual "performance" cars like the F-body, Corvette, etc. were either TBI or multiport EFI, there really wouldn't have been much of a market for it. Like just about everything else marketed to "tune" the CCC system it was likely just snake oil.

I like the concept, tunable OBD-1. I would be interested in such a system for a turbo 301 project I'm kicking around. I wonder if they sold any?

A guy over at Montecarloss.com called them awhile back and they had no idea what he was talking about.

Edelbrock also had a system like this called Micro-Plus just for LG4s, but was limited compared to Crane's EMS. Used Micro-Plus systems still show up from time to time on Ebay.

i just e-mailed crane about it. and all i got from them was its discontinued and no longer avalible.
i kinda wanted info about it but i guess they dont want to talk about it.

I picked up one of these in a package deal of parts from someone who was restoring their 87 Monte SS back to original. I have since sold it, but they do exist. :shock: I also found one for sale on a Grand National forum if anyone is looking for one.
