Good call on the Muscle car pan. People are saying that it hangs at least 1-1.5" below the crossmember, but so do the longtubes that BRP sells.

do you guys can see the pics? hm something wrong with photobucket? no problem with the pics in the other forums..

not too much work done today. here some pics:

now looks like I ran into a problem with boxing my frame - the BRP T56 crossmember looks like it doesn't fit anymore because I closed the c-chanel of the frame. I looked at the instructions because I still don't have the LS1 in hands to check fitment with just the engine and transmission. instruction says I have to drill new holes to get the crossmember fit. so looks like the passenger side goes onto here something like that:

is that right?

ok so the other side SHOULD go in the c-chanel right?

looks too long, wouldnt think it was made to attach to the C channel as it seems a very poor stress point. It may be meant for G-bodys 81+ with the overdrive frame extension. But even then the holes should line up on the other side.

agreed.

I love build threads like this. I can't wait to see the body get painted and that dash put in. The frame looks really good. Slowly but surely, it will all come together. It's hard finding good repair people and mechanics that can do such a good job. There are some review sites of body shops like angie's list online.

Man, that car looks familier... Oh wait - it's mine!!! LMAO
Nice photoshop work, it looks great with those rims! Mine's actually got 20% tint on it now that looks just about like that. I need some updated pics. Haha.

Awesome project though, man. It's cool that there's some love for these G-bodys in Europe too. That LS and T-56 is similar to what I want to do. Eventually. LOL!
Keep up the good work!
