To me, all the aftermarket radios look cheap and cheesy, even from the trusted brands, unless you shell out a grand.....and I am not. Will probably put the factory radio I picked up in my Salon, or send it in as a core to one of the places that modify it to use an ipod, mp3 player, etc....you can find them on eBay I know, though they are a couple of bills.

There is a guy on Fleabay that adds the aux input for $40 plus shipping mine be going to him sometime next month.....my stereo build........
Delco Monsoon $40.00
Metra harness $20.00
Infinity 3.5 2 way $90.00
MbQuartz 6x9 3 way $55.00 off amazon and the bass is crazy
XM onyx $12.00 actually $52.00 but used 4 $10.00 walmart gift cards givien to me at work........

I agree with you. I saw a few of the modified factory radios on ebay, too. It got me thinking about trying it myself. So I researched it and it looks pretty easy. Maybe a grand total of $5 to modify it...I figure saving that much on a HU I could buy a fairly nice 4-channel amp and speakers. I wasn't about to put more into the radio than I bought the car for.

I 'd like to put a CD in mine but with i PODS THe CD's will be thing PAST SHORTLY . So am going to get my stock radio modded with I pod jack. Not that I have 1 As I do the love the exhaust thing.

Usually radio is not even on . But the bad to bone cassette will die some day LOL

I just want to most GM radios upto 2002 will fit in a G-body....I have a 2002 Delco Monsoon out of a 2002 Camaro in my 1986 Regal all you have to is swap out radio brackets and get 12 to 21 harness from Metra and it is plug and play...........

Awesome. I'm waiting for the harness to arrive in the mail any day now. I should be able to get it in and put some pics up if I ever get a day off work. Thanks, this post def. eased my mind a little bit about the compatibility.

Thanks for this info guys. Very helpful.
