I've got an 86 cutlass built for road racing. 5.3, t56, aluminum floors, firewall, trunk, fiberglass everything else. Car weighs 2500 pounds. Is heat soak an issue? And what's power output come out to? Is it peaky, hard to control?

Here's some pictures

to much turbo for a road course car for sure. these turbos are lazy. but once they light, came over. had the car on out mustang dyno sunday, made 730 on 14 lbs. through an unlocked turbo 400, and a 28x10.5 slick. cars heavy, 3510 with me in it.

if i went to a 3.27 or 3.55 gear, i know it will run bottom 9s. best 60 foot leaving on the trans brake at 13lbs, is a 1.50.

i dont have one. i can tell you about it. budget built sh*t. 8.8 rear, th400 with a brake, stock 5.3 with a turbo cam. and that kit.
first motor that had the turbos was a stock cammed 6.0. i busted a ring land off of that (was my fault, crank sensor wiring came loose, pop pop pop i didnt let out, and bam broke a piston) that motor was on pump gas about 12 lbs, lasted a long time. i street drove it everywhere. ran hard. then i built that 6.0 with a china rod. i was having boost control. issues, so i said **** it, let it run at whatever it wants, it should hold.... well it didnt, 26lbs on probably 20 pulls, and snap, right out of the block. everything was trash. found a 250 dollar 5.3. changed the cam and valve springs. and here it is. i put turbosmart wastegates on it, thanking the gates were the problem. but it was just me :/. i wasted money. i had it plumed wrong.

sounds like a blast. Lol. Thanks for sharing, I searched for a long time and couldn't find anything on the kit so I left it alone thinking it was probably trash.

Nice to see the kit is holding up, and that it performs so well. It looks very similar to the one I built for a Gen I SBC.
