Dad's 62 Ford Galaxie

I should have mentioned, that picture was circa 1989. Dad's car, house and garage weren't nearly as nice back then. Here's an old Polaroid of what was left of the interior. Cooked......

The A/C compressor, clutch fan, and A/C specific fan shroud were gone. So were the bell housing and flywheel. The transmission was in the trunk. The 352 2-V was toast.
 
I don't remember you ever saying, what was it that drew your dad to this particular car?
His youth. When he was a teenager he was driving 61's and 63's. Dad was born in December of 1949.
