looking at the DD setup as my car doesn't have the gauge package, just the idiot lights. Right now my car has a 383 with a th350 transmission. I assume the DD kit comes with everything I need, including a hookup for the mechanical speedometer? What if I ever switch to a 4l60e, will I need an adapter or is it also setup for an electronic signal?

Just want to make sure they will work with whatever setup I move to, whether it be something like a Fitech EFI or LS.

Oh, the speedo cable will be disconnected and it comes with a speed sensor that will be screwed into the transmission. Then with the supplied cable you plug it onto the sensor and land it on 2 terminal on the control box.

So the speedometer uses a sender, like the other sensors and wiring goes to a controller? Sounds like they set it up to work with mechanical or electrical. Nice.

From what I gather, it should work fine with my current setup and any setup I may go to.
