Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with Dakota Digital gauges? I've been looking at these and they will fit in my Cutlass instrument pod.

http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/ ... prd310.htm

They have several features. DD has features such as turn/hi beam indicators, odometer with 2 resetable trips, gear position indicator for manual trans, speed and rpm overspeed/shift indicators & warnings, several performance calculations include: 0- 60 time, high speed & high RPM recall, 1/4 mile time and speed.

Thanks for any info.

Ontario, Canada eh!
I haven't heard anything negative about them, only good.

I have purchased 2 items from them:

1. a gear position indicator that works with my 4L80E transmission
http://www.dakotadigital.com/index....ategory_id=401/home_id=-1/mode=prod/prd63.htm

2. a climate control unit that works with my Vintage Air heat/AC system.
http://www.dakotadigital.com/index....tegory_id=337/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd475.htm

The work, and look great. The only problem I had was getting the high-beam indicator to work. When wiring it up it was causing the signal indicators to go on. I have just not used that part (not a big deal for me anyways). The components are high quality too, very well done. These parts are not cheaply thrown together, if you know what I mean. So far, I'm happy. Here's the picture, sorry but the gearshift indicator is cut off:

That dash setup is BEAUTIFUL!! WOW! Ive been a huge fan of DD for years. The quality of their components is top notch. I had mine installed by a shop and every function works sweet. I have an 87 Monte SS, and Im running the instr. panel, (2) amp temp gauges, EGT gauge, trans temp gauge, oil temp gauge, vac/boost gauge and will be doin the ac control/vintage air setup. I first saw these at a car show in Vegas many years back and was sold on em. So far no probs. Very happy with mine. I only have the instrument cluster hooked up right now. The 0-60, high rpm and other call back times functions are pretty cool.

That GP dash is WICKED!!! Good job!

Warren, thanks for posting that vid. Yours looks really nice too. I'm wondering how daytime visability is.

I know DD makes a dash for the Cutlass but I do NOT like the bar graphs it has. That's why I've decided to go with the Ion Series and make a custom panel for my instrument cluster.

Thnaks guys.

Thanks bro. The gauges are Autometer Cobalt blue. The tach on top of the dash is the G-tech Pro 4" tach. It can display analog and digital readout, and can display a variety of functions (anything you wish to wire up to it) but I only have it for RPM. It's pretty cool.

I have the same cluster Warren has. Absolutely love it. Setup can be frustrating but patience is key. Just got my speedometer calibrated correctly after driving it all weekend reading double. Daytime isn't bad at all. I removed my clear cluster lens because the dash looked better in the open. I'll post a picture of mine tomorrow

This is exactly what I want to get next year for the SS. How does it get wired up? Does it come with senders and such? Half my intruments aren't workable so I have aftermarket guages under the dash.

Both of those look great, don't know which one I'll go for yet.

Yes comes with all the senders and harnesses from the sender to the control box. Also comes with both the teal and blue lenses
