I was on my way to Petsmart with my dog and my wife in the El Camino. Had a guy pass me on the highway in a newer Dodge dually with a Diesel Performance sticker on the back window and an exhaust tip the size of a 5 gallon bucket. He kept slowing down and gunning it rolling black smoke. When we got to a stoplight at the edge of town, I pulled along side and it was on. The light changed and I spun my peg leg pretty bad. I started closing the gap real slow but then we just stayed the same. He got me about 2 car lengths. I know the diesel guys can really get them things to scoot but I really thought he'd beat me more than that. We probably went a 1/4 mile but maybe a hair more. I hate losing in anything but I'm still proud that I hung in there as close as it was. For a stock long block Goodwrench 350 with Performer RPM, Holley 600, headers, and true dual Flowmasters, it runs really good. Really wanting to get that spare 350 built up and swap it out now! I pulled back up to him and gave him a thumbs up. It was fun. P.S. if your a police officer, don't read this. LOL

If you want to race please take it to the track. Anything can happen even at a track but spectators don't get hurt and there is a safety crew on site at a track.

Never under estimate trucks they may be big but they also have guts. There is a 1000hp cummins in town and my God that thing scares my Nova

He did not spin at all and hole shot the heck out of me.

Skip prepping the spare 350 and start looking for a big block!

Yeah it's the torque monster that got you. Plus he doesn't need to spin tires ,A dually won't on pavement
unless power braked. I've seen some bad *ss dodge minivans with 4 cyl turbo's woop *ss on some serious
street cars. These things were unreal.

My stock Ranger out pulled a turbo import at a red light and I wasn't even trying. At the high end he blew past me but it took him awhile and I wasn't gunning it either since I don't street race.

chances are it was not setup correctly. Just because it had a turbo does not mean it was installed
correctly or was even dialed in.
