Where can I find a dark blue metallic engine paint like this?,

Would that be a suitable engine paint? I guess the block doesn't get that hot though. And I'm Not painting AL heads.

My only issue is this, a friend of mine used that metalcast on non-hot parts of his LT1, but it came ended up being more of a teal color, (it's a bit dirty but it works)

This was with a silver basecoat, would it darken perhaps if sprayed over a darker color? Like black, or a cast iron color?

Pick a color that you like on a car and get a pint of acrylic enamel mixed at an autobody supply. Most street rods that have color matched motors use either acrylic or base clear. It holds up just fine. I cant remember which brand I used but it was either Centauri or Delstar on the SB in my 81.
