I too have though about a rear seat swap, even deleting the cargo floor part. But decided I like the ability to fold the seat down when need. Curious to see how you make out with this.

Keep us updated on your findings and progress. Pics would be cool as well. 😉

Greetings SsCutty & all; When I ordered the Brick, I had preferred the Grand Am dash (similar to the GP?). Anyway I thought you might like to see a picture of a G body (I think the son or Grand son has it now & has posted on our site) with a modern GTO dash & wheel. I might add that it fit like brown soft smelly stuff, look close between the dash & windshield. And I've seen the GTO seats in 3 or more G-body's, their thick & leave little rear leg room. They are even more comfortable than my old Recros. And did you see Overhal'in when they put the old 67 style Camaro dash in a G? Later Bob Jr.

I got a note from the guy I bought the "rally gauge" pack from...offering me the wiring harness. H told me it was plug compatible when he sold me the gauges...do I need plugs from the dash harness and do they run to the engine or the fuse panel? He wants more for the harness than I paid for the gauges....but it may be cheaper and simpler in the long run...any comments?

GOOD NEWS!!
I got the gauges today and it was a direct plugin for the idiot lights...I may have to get different sending units though as the oil pressure gauge is reading 80 pounds...but they all work and lights work....life is gooood. Next is the radio...looking at a 1.5 din with blue tooth, usb port and I think DVD...Crutchfield makes one but it had negative review on the mounting aspect. I think if I buy one I'll let the experts install it. PS I now have a set of idiot light gauges if anyone needs them 🙂

In a closed discussion someone was asking about dash lights...I just replaced all my bulbs with 168 LED's...dimmer does not work but I really don't need it...if you want blue lights it's 168B....I switched out my idiot lights for the Ralley Pack...it was a direct bolt in....BUT even though the gauges work they are not accurate...sending units are different between the idiot lights and the analog gauges...I'll be replacing those next. Hope this helps
BTW I can now see the instruments where I couldn't before...both the original El Co dash and the GP were very dim...really poor design I thought
